![]() The plot spans more than 16 new locations, many from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, including volcanic Mustafar and the space battle above Coruscant. It is a story-based campaign told from the view of an unidentified 501st clone trooper it revolves around the 501st Legion as the unit evolves from the Galactic Republic's Clone Troopers to Imperial Stormtroopers. However, three years later on October 4, 2017, Disney announced that online multiplayer has been restored as well as crossplay between the Steam and GOG versions of the game.īattlefront II expands upon the original game's single-player experience with mission-based objectives drawn from Attack of the Clones' Battle of Geonosis to The Empire Strikes Back's Battle of Hoth. On May 31, 2014, GameSpy (the online service that was hosting Battlefront II's multiplayer at the time) was shut down, and with it went the game's online functionality. There are several differences between Battlefront II and the original Battlefront, such as playable Jedi characters, two new unit classes, space battles, and story-based campaigns. It is the second game of the highly successful Star Wars: Battlefront series and a sequel to the original Star Wars: Battlefront. Still not willing to jump into a dogfight, the pilots ask the Crest to follow them to a nearby outpost so they can run the ship's galactic tags there.Star Wars: Battlefront II, also shortened to " Battlefront II", and alternatively abbreviated as " SW:BF2" or " SWBF2" is a first-/third-person shooter video game developed by Pandemic Studios and published by LucasArts, and was released in North America on November 1, 2005, for the Xbox (backwards compatible with Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S), PlayStation Portable (backwards-compatible with the PlayStation Vita), PC, and the PlayStation 2 (backwards compatible with certain PlayStation 3 models). Din Djarin soon refuses to do that, either. If the beacon isn't sending the ship's ID code automatically, they'll ping it once so that they can trace an ID. They can't know for certain that the Razor Crest isn't carrying Imperial sympathizers or rogue cargo, so they ask for a ping anyway. The X-Wing pilots aren't sold on the story. As Din Djarin tries to explain, the Crest is old hardware, the equivalent of a 1970 Cadillac Eldorado without a working AM/FM radio. He goes on to claim that he has a legal excuse to not have a beacon running on the ship. On the Outer Rim, not running a transponder beacon is enough to get a starship in trouble with the fuzz. The Razor Crest isn't having a problem with it's taillights, nor is its blinker failing - its transponder beacon isn't running. The Mandalorian's encounter with the New Republic's spacelane patrol is more naturally paced and becomes funnier the longer it goes on.
